INFRASTRUCTURAL INITIATIVES

 Accessibility for Differently-Abled Students: Assessment of campus facilities to improvise the locations where accessibility is restricted for differently-abled students e.g. Student Affairs Office, Naivedyam etc. This shall also include structural changes wherever required e.g. automated drinking water taps in LHC, improved lift accessibility, like in Seminar Hall etc.

 Portal for Infrastructure Related Complaints: Development of a digital platform where students can report issues such as loose streetlights, open wires, or other hazardous conditions, directly to the institute engineer for prompt action. This may also be extended to a helpline where nighttime emergencies can be reported and addressed. This will be done in addition to allocation of different areas to the SAC secretaries and representatives as POC’s for fast and smooth conduct.

 Availability of Utility Products: Setup of vending machines at strategic locations by communicating with the hostel shops for round-the-clock access to items like stationary, sanitary pads etc.

 Security Measures: Number of security guards in proportion to student population in hostels.

 Married Scholars’ Hostel: Identification of solution to the water seepage problem in addition to the feasibility of the possibility of shifting to another hostel.

 Boy’s Salon: To be started in SAC.

 Laundry Service: To be started in IIT Market.


CAREER-RELATED INITIATIVES (EXPANSION OF PLACEMENT PROJECT)

 Creation of Placement Assistance Directory: The database (prepared without any aid from OCS) shall be helpful to the students, both UG and PG, struggling with placements and internships. They shall be able to contact relevant individuals on the basis of their roles, companies, and expertise.

 Integration with Career Resource Guide: Combining the placement project with a structured career resource guide to provide step-by-step insights into placement preparation.


STUDENT WELFARE-RELATED INITIATIVES

 ClassGrid for Counselors: Creation of an application where students can directly book appointments with counselors beyond the hostel-specific model.

 Mental Health Initiatives: Organization of interactive programs to foster discussions around mental well being. Surveys among both professors and students for understanding student concerns, to study the pattern and the issue followed by faculty sensitizations. This shall be also be followed by mandatory group counselling sessions for students, ensured by BSW Reps & Mentors (mandatory workshops will be organized for them)

 Hospital Improvements: Portal for online appointments and data of the availability of every doctor.

 On-time PG Mentorship: Ensuring timely allotment and availability of mentors for first year students.


ADMINISTRATIVE INITIATIVES

 Updates in Constitutions: Updates shall be stated in board constitutions to ensure transparency.

 Secretary Involvement in Institutional Meetings: Ensuring that relevant student secretaries from different boards are included in institute-level meetings e.g. a secretary who has counselling experience.

 Tender Processes: Portal for updated list of all vendors, which can be used for various events across the campus. Invitations to more vendors to prevent monopoly and ensure fair vendor pricing.

 Central Booking System: Creation of a streamlined online platform for booking institute facilities for events thus reducing delays and miscommunication in the process.

 ECA Portal: Automation through streamlined online pipeline including GSecs, Presidents etc.


CAMPUS LIFE-RELATED INITIATIVES

 Reopening of Ticket Booking Window: Subsidized bookings of train tickets in a manner similar to the way it was done before COVID.

 Marketplace for Utility Item Exchange: Digital platform where students can buy, sell, or share utility items such as mattresses, books, cycles, and electronic appliances at mutually decided prices.

 SAC Website: All updates, ongoing projects and portals to be put up on SAC website for transparency.

OUTREACH INITIATIVES

 Student Portal: A comprehensive tech platform for IIT Delhi students with the following features:

a. Events Calendar : Centralized calendar displaying all campus events.

b. Lost and Found: Organized platform for reporting and retrieving lost items.

c. Reselling Marketplace: Platform for buying and selling second-hand items among students.

d. Central Booking System: Unified platform for venue bookings for events.

e. Scholarship Portal: Consolidated database of all scholarships, including eligibility criteria, deadlines, and application links.

f. Food Outlet Reviews: Public review system for campus food outlets, similar to Google Reviews.

 Commute Digitilisation: Implementation of live bus and e-kart tracking for better commuting.

 ERP Ticket Booking Integration: Transitioning the ticket booking system from kiosks to ERP for seamless access.


PG INITIATIVES

 Extended PG Mentorship: Expanding the PG mentorship program to all master's programs, ensuring each new PG student is assigned a mentor from the start, similar to the UG system.

 Raising Awareness Among PG Students: Collaborating with BSP to create PG-specific articles and a dedicated PG magazine to enhance campus awareness.

 PG Representation: Strengthening PG student representation in clubs and societies by facilitating structured interactions between PG representatives in SAC and board General Secretaries.


STUDENT WELFARE

 Inter-Hostel Movement: Enabling controlled inter-hostel movement for cultural activities in CCTV-monitored common areas.

 Delinking Counselling Services: Transferring counseling services from the Dean (Student Affairs) to an independent panel of mental health professionals for better accessibility and expertise.

 Open House Sessions: Conducting open house sessions at the institute and hostel levels at the beginning of the tenure, with regular updates and follow-ups throughout the SAC term.

 Hospital and Healthcare Initiative: Implementing a digitized hospital token system through ERP for streamlined patient management, ensuring first-aid facilities at all necessary locations, and conducting first-aid training for security guards.


INFRASTRUCTURE INITIATIVES

 Laundry Facility: Establishing a laundry service in the vacant space near Girnar Hostel for student convenience.

 Boy’s Salon: Setting up a boy’s salon in student activity centre with standardized services and discounted student rates.

* Vending Machines: Installing vending machines in common areas such as ExHall, LHC, and SAC, and expanding to hostels as needed.

 Vendor Review Committee: Establishing a dedicated committee to regularly assess the performance of procurement vendors for maintenance, sports equipment, and mess services.
