TEAM STRUCTURE, ORGANISATION AND WORKING

 Develop a BSP calendar to structure publications, competitions, and core project allotment at the start of the tenure, while leaving room for additional projects

 Maintain a review sheet for Journalists and Technical Editors to identify skill sets, work ethic etc. and a consistent three-tier feedback system to ensure constructive criticism is delivered

 Release the projects for the upcoming month and allot work to ensure diversity on the team, cyclical and equitable distribution of projects, as done in Inception

 Hold fortnightly Editorial Board meetings, inviting Panel Members for insights and guidance

 Implement Quarterly Reviews for timely appreciation, constructive feedback, strategic downsizing, and subsequent freelancer recruitment in two separate phases

 Increase team bonding by utilizing the Lounge for offline meets, movie nights and game screenings; targeted meets followed by dinners, and outings post completion of major projects

 Broaden team diversity by recruiting from PG, PhD, and newly introduced UG programs like BDes as freelancers


JOURNALISM

 Restructure Inquirer into a bi-monthly publication with a smaller, more focused team, streamlining the workflow for consistent, high-quality output

 Reintroduce a citizen journalism network, initially composed of former BSP members, with a structured selection process for gradual expansion.

 Conduct a practical workshop on survey making, interviews and journalistic critical thinking, in the beginning of the tenures for the journalists by past BSP chief editors

 Introduce Career pe Charcha, a new series interviewing alumni with a focus on more varied and unconventional career paths to show diversity in options available to students post-graduation

 Evaluate interviewing and anchoring skills during selection, for a more diverse and specialized team for podcasts and interviews

 Conduct Khullam Khulla: a mid-term review of boards in an open house format, open to the general public to increase accountability to the student body*

 Collaborate with journalistic bodies of other IITs to create a combined piece centred around academics, student life, and mental health in IIT


CREATIVE

 Transform Muse into a magazine, featuring a collaborative series of workshops and competition with LitClub and Hindi Samiti to boost entries and expand its scope to include comics and photography

 Train all members in comic creation, satire, and creative storytelling, launching A Common Man comic series to boost outreach through engaging, simplified narratives

 Revive the Literary Arts page as a creative showcase, collaborating with LitClub to actively engage the college’s writers and readers, and increasing engagement by publishing select pieces in TL;DRs


DESIGN

 Ensure parallel progress on design and journalistic content to minimize delays, enhance efficiency, and improve inter-vertical communication

 Conduct design workshops and tasks led by Design Chief Editors, beginning with foundational training and progressing to ongoing skill-based sessions, fostering team-wide capability aligned with upcoming projects

 Regularly update the BSP Design Repository with the latest assets and a template folder for faster critical news publishing, ensuring content-design synchronization through quarterly meetings


MEDIA

 Expand BSP Inventory with editing desktop and SSD to improve efficiency, while officially co-using OnAir infrastructure for optimal resource utilization

 Inculcate photojournalism for This Month in Pictures, TL;DRs and stories, by training of journalists and technical editors

 Train journalists in camera handling to share the workload of podcast shoots, easing the burden on Media Techies

 Increase efficiency by automating transcription and cuts, introducing reel templates, and releasing shorter reels

 Recruit Media Techies early for the Inception shoot to ensure vertical activity during summer vacations and enhance outreach to JoSAA applicants.

 Expand BSP YouTube to informative shorts, with streamlined release and higher engagement to act as a funnel for our podcasts


OUTREACH

 Establish feedback mechanisms and seek review and new topics from the general public, through Instagram story questions and Whatsapp Channels

 Expand Op-Ed articles by sourcing topics from Story Feedback, the team, and Citizen Journalists, leveraging their high outreach to spark meaningful discussion

 Introduce From The Archives, a fortnightly section highlighting past publications to enhance audience engagement

 Leverage allstudents and Google Group mailing lists for quarterly article digests, leveraging higher email engagement

 Boost the reach of surveys and posts through Mercury and strategic use of physical posters


 LITERATI**

 Begin preparations three months in advance, focusing on high-impact events with engaging keynote speakers and panels

 Enhance publicity to reach Literati’s niche audience, ensuring those interested are well-informed and engaged

 Host pre-fest events and hostel workshops tailored for freshers, ensuring engagement and recruitment into the team

 Partner with clubs and boards for cost-effective offline publicity, maximizing reach with minimal BSP resource investment.

 Recruit a high-performing external Marketing Team early, selecting top talent from IITD fests and offering elevated PoR incentives


MISCELLANEOUS

 Establish a Technical Secretary (ECA), supported by Web Editors, to manage website( and expand to audio support, and screen reader text) and Instagram maintenance, publishing, and outreach, with Design Credits as an incentive

 Launch "From Lab to Life"—a series spotlighting research breakthroughs and entrepreneurial achievements on campus, at FITT, and globally

 Prepare an archive of resources and learning, regularly updated post every project to serve as a reference for future Editorial Boards

 Engage the Advisory Panel with community incentive, for feedback, mentorship to Chief Editor , and guidance in handling complex situations, etc

TEAM STRUCTURE, ORGANISATION AND WORKING

 Develop a content calendar at the start of the tenure, marking all flagship projects, their allotment, and onboarding

 Recruit B.Des students as design technical editors in a structured way to strengthen the BSP design team

 Recruit freelancers with diverse skill sets, including animators, website developers, and analysts, alongside traditional ones in a two-phase manner to conduct in-depth analysis, detailed, research and create engaging interface

 Establish a dedicated proofreading team of 3 members for error-free and professional publications on a project basis

 Organise quarterly offline full-team meets with fun and creative activities by making a team consisting of members from different verticals to strengthen inter-vertical bonding


JOURNALISM

 Publish topicals on various PG and PhD issues, create a dedicated section in the established series and collaborate with the Research Synergy Forum (RSF) to enhance their engagement and recruitment

 Publish collaborative journalistic pieces with media bodies of top 3 IITs, to compare similarities and differences in critical issues and increase outreach beyond the campus

 Revamp Inquirer as a biannual magazine with a structured timeline and resource planning for smooth conduction

 Enable the campus community to contribute to Opinion Articles to raise issues relevant to student community

 Launch the ‘Hindsight’ series in collaboration with the Office of Career Services (OCS) as a comprehensive company-wise guidebook for placement


CREATIVE

 Increase participation and outreach of Muse by collaborating with the Fine Arts and Crafts Club, Literary Club, and Hindi Samiti

 Launch Unheard Voices – A creative series on the journey of students from the underrepresented communities at IIT *

 Revamp the Bluffington Post competition by reintroducing the Graphic Bluffs section to enhance engagement and interest


DESIGN

 Introduce Comic Dose – A comic series on trending campus issues and  events, as a project led by Designers

 Maintain Design Repository with ready-to-use templates for quick reporting and basic posters reducing delays in publication

 Emphasise the creation of infographics and visual content for data-heavy surveys to enhance comprehension and engagement


MEDIA

 Integrate photo and video journalism into journalistic pieces, topicals, and TL;DRs to create more immersive, and visually compelling storytelling that resonates with the audience

 Maintain a media equipment tracking sheet for efficient handling to avoid loss or mismanagement of costly items

 Expand video interview format in existing series such as Humans of IITD, Professor Next Door, and My Experiments with IITD


OUTREACH

 Expand BSP publications in languages other than English through dedicated Co-Leads and recruitment initiative

 Build engagement through hype reels, photos, and snippets for upcoming BSP projects to generate audience curiosity

 Set up a BSP stand in the SAC and Institute Library for showcasing BSP magazines for easy access to students


 LITERATI **

 Revamp the Events and Marketing verticals for Literati through structured planning and strict monitoring

 Build a separate Literati website by recruiting a dedicated website team for better outreach and centralised information

 Expand outreach through online and offline collaborations with clubs and bodies of other Delhi based colleges


MISCELLANEOUS

 Organise design and media workshops before recruitment to increase the number of applications for BSP technical editor

 Create an anonymous complaint and feedback form in the full-team group to address the team’s concerns effectively

 Include advisory panel members in project ideation meetings to leverage their experience in identifying potential hurdles
