VISION FOR BSA

1. For Inter IIT

• Enhance BSA's budget by pioneering sport-specific marketing partnerships and alumni funding initiatives, channeling additional financial resources directly into high-impact sports and events.

• Establish proper feedback, review, and monitoring of sports through periodic meetings of captains and vice-captains with the General Secretary and Deputy General Secretary, supplemented by anonymous forms for genuine feedback.

• Strengthen inter-contingent bonding by organizing informal weekend matches between Inter-IIT teams, complemented by coupons and goodies to incentivize participation and foster a stronger sporting community on campus.

• Provide a shuttle bus service for female students from Himadri to SAC Circle during practice hours.

• Facilitate external tournaments and practice matches for teams to enhance training and offer greater competitive exposure.

2. Infrastructural / Logistical Changes

• Dedicated ground staff will ensure weekly maintenance, and a centralized schedule will be shared with teams to prevent clashes and optimize facility usage.

• Ensure proper maintenance of cricket nets and basketball court lights for evening practices.

3. Initiatives for BSA

Sportech:

• Ensure extensive marketing to increase budget inflow for a smooth tournament.

• Form the Sportech core team well in advance to avoid last-minute organizational hassles.

• Ensure proper coordination between verticals for increased internal engagement.

BSA for All:

• Introduce non-Inter IIT sports such as Kabaddi and Kho-Kho in the General Championship (outside the trophy) to engage a wider campus audience in BSA events.

• Organize dedicated tournaments for differently abled residents.

• Inculcate an inclusive sporting environment that emphasizes the importance of sports participation rather than solely glorifying the Inter-IIT tournament.

• Increase alumni participation across all sports through frequent events during the Inter-IIT semester.

4. Accountability of Sports Secretaries

• Conduct per-hostel sports orientations with the help of captains and vice-captains.

• Revise the metrics of the Best Sports Secretary Award to better incentivize sports secretaries and encourage greater participation in institute practices.

• Hold regulated meetings and collect feedback on sports participation and freshers' involvement throughout their tenure.

• Appoint a dedicated coordinator for reimbursement issues to ensure faster and smoother reimbursement of bills.

• Ensure proper recognition and felicitation of institute players for better encouragement and motivation.
